Reading about Boys

So I just read Bringing Up Boys by Dr. James Dobson.
Here is the best advice I got from the book:

Boys need:

  • structure
  • supervision
  • to be civilized

"A stream without banks becomes a swamp. It is your job as parents to build the channel in which the stream will run. "

Dr. Dobson justifies the purpose of family devotional nights by saying one of our most important of all parental responsiblities is to teach children who they are as children of God and what they been placed here to do. Family Nights are a great intentional way to get that job done.
